For my final project I created an in-house publication for the Communications design department at Otago Polytechnic called 'MADE'. The purpose of this publication was to share the success stories of both past and present students. My aim for this project was to create a personality and style for the publication that reflected the values of the department.
I interviewed students from each of the three year levels as well as Alumni students and a client, then wrote all the content and designed the layouts of pages. I hand drew the headings, the cover title and illustrations to relate back to the 'made' aspect. I printed the publication on campus on a Risograph printer using red and black ink and digitally printed the images of students work. I used pink paper for the cover and back to make it bold and catch the eye.
I will have copies at the end of year 'Debrief' exhibition that people will be able to take and read.
