I created this poster, No Rules, as part of the year one Text and Image 'Donuts' exhibition. We were to create a poster on a coloured paper chosen at random, and had the option of two ink colours on the Risograph printer. We were then to choose a designer from the industry and bring in inspiration from their practice into our own work.
For my poster I was given the colour yellow for the paper and used pink and blue ink. My poster was inspired by designer, Kate Moross, as I was drawn to her bold, geometric style and I was inspired by a quote she said "For me, there are no rules when it comes to what's considered 'good' design." So I wanted to incorporate this into my own design and be playful with it.
We each had 50 copies of our poster printed and people could take home a copy at the exhibition.
